LED Message Board Signs

LED message board signs are becoming more and more popular. Why? Signs showing LED displays are bright, dynamic and eye-catching — they stand out! Only an electronic message center is versatile enough to display targeted messages for a specific audience. People, of course, are drawn to viewing content on smartphones, tablets and computers. Digital is the norm, and customers have come to expect digital everywhere. So LED displays tap into our customers’ thirst for interaction. If you’ve ever been drawn to a sign showing a video, you’ve experienced the power of LEDs.

What Are the Benefits of an LED Sign?

More revenue.

In a recent study looking at the economic benefit of outdoor electronic message boards by the University of Cincinnati Economics Center, researchers determined a break-even for an electronic message board installation may be as low as 3 months and as high as 15 months — depending on fixed costs. Nearly all the businesses found the installation of an EMC sign paid for itself in less than a year and contributed positively to the business’s bottom line for the remainder of its life cycle.

Target your audience.

Target a large, desirable audience of potential customers already at your front door. You can easily communicate more information rather than be limited by the size of a static sign. With a digital sign in front of your business, passing traffic will see your ad many times, giving you multiple exposures, or “frequency,” that can be difficult to achieve with other forms of advertising.

4G capabilities.

Now with 4g capabilities, owners have the ability to change the messages immediately, from anywhere in the world and as often as they would like. Keep in mind, however, many towns have limits on how often the message can be changed.

Cost-efficient.

Change and update content at no additional cost instead of buying new signs or temporary banners for sharing public service announcements, as well as advertising festivals, store events, and community-wide events.

Attention grabbing.

Grab the customer’s attention by displaying “Deals”, “Today’s Special”, “50% OFF” and other like keywords that will be flashy and bright to potential clients.

Safe.

Safer and effortless, compared to changeable letter readerboards. No need to assign two people to withstand windy or icy weather conditions to update content. A person can keyboard the message from the comfort of a business office.

Collaboration.

Collaborate with neighboring buildings to advertise for multiple stores.

Establish a brand identity.

Attract new customers.

Promote high margin products.

"Free" hiring ads.

Cabinet Signs.

Illuminate your brand and location, day and night, using lighted cabinet signs. Also commonly called “wall” or “box” signs, cabinet signs are a traditional form of illuminated signage. Cabinet signs allow for an effective way of utilizing large copy area and eye-popping graphics.

The background of the sign can be the element that illuminates and the copy can be either translucent (lighted) or opaque (non-lighted).

Strong and durable, our cabinet signs can be used when small letter size or graphical elements make the use of channel letters impractical. Depending on the complexity of each individual cabinet, our cabinet signs can be made to fit anyone’s budget.

Channel Letter Signs

A channel letter can be any letter, number, logo or other character that, when combined with other like characters, makes up a sign presentation. Each letter is made using aluminum sheeting, and acrylic. Channel letter signs are highly flexible, and can be made using a wide variety of fonts, colors, and sizes

What Types of Channel Letter Signs Are Available?

Front-Lit Channel Letters:

The first and most common type of channel letter is the front-lit or standard channel letter. A front lit channel letter will have an acrylic face, trim cap, aluminum returns, and an aluminum back. Again, the number of options is large – – these signs can be customized in a variety of ways!

Combination-Lit or Front/Back Lit Channel Letters:

Ever thought about doing a sign that has red illuminated faces, and a blue halo effect? Well, then a combination-lit channel letter is for you! These signs use 3/16” acrylic for their faces, mounted with trim cap to the aluminum returns (usually about 5”). Like the reverse channel letter, combination-lit channel letters use clear Lexan backs that have been customized using translucent vinyl graphics to create the desired halo color.

Reverse Channel Letters/Back-lit Channel Letters/Halo Channel Letters:

For a unique and classy look, consider reverse channel letters! Instead of an acrylic face, reverse channel letters utilize .090 metal faces and .063 aluminum returns, and have clear 1/8” or 3/16” Lexan or poly-carbonate backs. The return of a reverse channel letter is typically smaller, usually about 3.5”. These letters are mounted with a 1.5” standoff so that – – when illuminated – – there is a “halo effect” surrounding the shape of each individual character.
